Jack Sparrow is getting into more trouble and “Pirates of the Caribbean” producer Jerry Bruckheimer has shared the first look at Johnny Depp getting back into his most iconic and lucrative character.
Depp’s Sparrow is seen tied up and held at knife-point by enemies in the first photo Bruckheimer tweeted on Tuesday from the fifth installment of the franchise, “Dead Men Tell No Tales.”
“Captain Jack is back and we’re not letting him go,” the producer captioned the photo.

The fifth “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie began shooting last month and is scheduled to wrap this summer. Depp sustained a minor injury to his hand in February, which minimally impacted filming.
Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning are directing the movie, which will film entirely at Village Roadshow Studios and on locations within Queensland, Australia.
Depp stars alongside Javier Bardem and rising stars Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites and Golshifteh Farahani. Returning cast members include Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs and Stephen Graham as Scrum.
